Architecture is a tool that allows dreams to materialize by transforming them into reality. As an architect, I approach each work as unique, reflecting the individuality of the people who dream it.
Architect Alejandra Correa Sapriza
Architect since 1995, graduated from the University of the Republic, Uruguay.
From 2014 to present — Estudio Alejandra Correa
Since 2014, I have been developing my professional practice under a flexible model, adapting planning and team structures to the particularities of each project in order to achieve maximum efficiency. With a methodology consolidated through experience, I carry out projects and oversee construction management and monitoring for renovations, refurbishments, rehabilitations, and new builds.
Each project I undertake is based on a high level of commitment and dedication, with the client as the central focus of the process. Through constant and close communication, I ensure that the final result meets their expectations and specific needs.
Depending on the nature of each project, I bring together multidisciplinary teams of trusted professionals, allowing for an integral vision both in design and execution. Renovation has become a major area of interest and specialization, aimed at revaluing unused constructions and preserving the essence of original spaces.
In this sense, in 2020, the Berthet Méndez Taranto studio invited Arq. Egaña and me to join forces in developing the Edificio El Globo project, which we have accompanied from its initial stage to its completion in March 2025. This work represents a highly relevant professional challenge and a significant contribution to the heritage renewal process of Ciudad Vieja.
2000–2014 — Estudio Correa–Morató
In 2000, together with my university colleague, Arq. M. I. Morató, we established an independent practice. During this period, we designed and built numerous works of different scales: renovations, extensions, and new constructions. We approached each project and its management with a strict methodology to maintain quality.
We also launched a service area —original for that time— dedicated to the preparation of executive projects for other architectural studios, collaborating in the technical documentation of their works. This way, we contributed to projects from important firms in the United States as well as here in Uruguay.
1995–2000 — Architect at the studio of Arq. Carlos Ott
At the studio of Arq. Carlos Ott, I gained very valuable early professional experience by participating in countless large-scale projects of diverse programs, such as housing, hotels, airports, and mixed-use buildings. These projects, both national and international, spanned South America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
I was invited to join the large interdisciplinary team for the ANTEL Telecommunications Tower project, participating from the original idea, through the executive project, and overseeing the construction, ensuring that progress met the required standards until its final delivery.
